Assessment Concerning LAM’s Technical Department

Under the memorandum of un­derstanding that LAM signed last July with Ethiopian Airlines, and following IATA‘s consult­ing recommendations aimed at improving operational pro­ficiency, a group of technical experts from Ethiopian Airlines proceeded to diagnose LAM’s technical department from 19 to 23 September.

This oper­ation consisted of reviewing contracts, assessing procure­ment procedures, verifying the aircraft technicians’ work envi­ronment, among other aspects. The findings will form the basis for the restructuring process of the company’s maintenance department.
